Hey, Scrappers!
Have you ever thought of creating a decorative piece for your Scrapbooking pages? I know I have. I have used many die cut pieces of my pages, but I have been wanting to create a larger version of an embellishment decor piece and this is my first one.
The size is a regular card base front that measures 4-1/4" x 5-1/2". I have SO many ideas for these now and cannot wait to add them to my future pages. I am a huge fan of trying to create an idea myself first, then if I cannot, then purchase it. Just think of all the possibilities and just think if you are a cardmaker then you could design a card as well. Or....oh my goodness, the thought just came to me!!! You could design a card and place a photo inside as a interactive piece on a page! Anyone else have these aha, moments?
To create my decorative embellishment mat:
1.) Pool Party base layer: 4-1/4" x 5-1/2"
2.) Place Pool Party base into the Dandelion embossing folder and run it through the Stampin' Cut and Emboss Machine.
3.) With the paper trimmer, cut a piece of Basic White cardstock to 3" x 4-1/2".
4.) Using the Friendly Hello Designer Series Paper cut (3) different patterns down to 1-1/2" x 3" and adhere to the Basic White cardstock piece.
5.) Adhere Basic White piece to the embossed Pool Party and tie a bow with the Pool Party Shimmer Ribbon.
6.) Stamp the Turtles with Pool Party ink, punching out the largest turtle, and then fussy cut the smaller ones adhering them to paper panels with mini Stampin' Dimensionals.
